Power up your Turbo Forester
Since 1999 we have been modifying and tuning "Fozza's" with all sorts of
power upgrade parts and engine management systems. Similar to the WRX & STI
models we have had the opportunity to test, gather data and form judgments on
what was the best value for money and offered the most sustainable reliability.
In 2002 when we first had the opportunity to test the EcuTek engine management
systems, our prayers were finally answered on the tuning front, at last
something that offered incredible performance, drivability and engine safety
using the Subaru factory "Knock Control System".
MY99-02 GT Forester
Definitely a great package, but a little low on power output with the earlier
2 year models only making 75kw at the wheels, and the 01-02 models making 90kw
on the dyno. Never the less the base package is there and the results from our
upgrades are even more justified. As with many of the Subaru models we recommend
sticking closely to the extremely well developed "MRT Power Kits", after all we
have played a big part in the R&D for these kits over the years.

As with any MRT Power kit, they can be upgraded from one to another at only
the cost difference in the kits!
Note: with the XC kit we offer the VF34 in place of MRT's VF30, and the
Hyperflow Billet Intercooler in place of the larger injectors, as the items have
provided better results.
MY03-08 XT
The much anticipated 2.5L engine finally arrived in the Forester for the
release of the MY03 model, with an almost identical engine,
turbo,
ecu package as the MY06 WRX, the "Turbo Fozza" is becoming a true performance
car. A test drive is the only way to appreciate all that extra torque, and as
you will see in the dyno graphs, the "MRT Power Kits" deliver plenty extra
un-tapped power too! DBW (Drive By Wire throttle) is revolutionary for this
model too! Also note that as with All "MRT Power Kits" the famed MRT
"Factory Warranty Guarantee" is included which
even covers your engine!

Note: with MY03-05 models a "Catless Up-pipe" is highly recommended for
the XB & XC kits, at a cost of $550 fitted.
Note: with the fitment of a Hyperflow Billet Top Mount Intercooler,
Silicone Inlet hose and EcuTek Type 3 tune after the XC kit, we will get
your XT real close to that much sought after 200 kw at the wheels.
MY09-10
XT Forester
Now with much more room, stylish new looks and Twin mufflers the current
model XT is something else. Mechanically much the same as the MY08s, but
with the current model Liberty/WRX manifolds and intercooler! We have tuned
many of these machines, with fantastic results; even one of them that comes
to mind, well beyond the MRT XC kit. Also note that as with All "MRT Power
Kits" the famed MRT "Factory Warranty Guarantee" is
included which even covers your engine!
