Power up your WRXSince 1999 we have been modifying and tuning WRX's with all sorts of power upgrade parts and engine management systems. In the early days this gave us the opportunity to test, gather data and form judgments on what was the best value for money and offered the most sustainable reliability. In 2002 when we first had the opportunity to test the EcuTek engine management systems, our prayers were finally answered on the tuning front, at last something that offered incredible performance, drivability and engine safety using the Subaru factory "Knock Control System". MY99-00 WRXStill one of the Most Popular models the "Classic". The first model with the 4 pot front brake calipers and dual air bag as standard, and a true performance car even in standard trim. As with many of the Subaru models we recommend sticking closely to the extremely well developed "MRT Power Kits", after all we have played a big part in the R&D for these kits over the years.

As with any MRT Power kit, they can be upgraded from one to another at only the cost difference in the kits! Note: with the XC kit we offer the VF34 in place of MRT's VF30, and the Hyperflow Billet Intercooler in place of the larger injectors, as the items have provided better results. Also the fitment of a Silicone Inlet hose and EcuTek Type 3 tune after the XC kit, can help to achieve that much sought after 200 kw at the wheels. MY01-02 WRXThe "Bug Eye" seems to be more popular now than ever, and for us one of the easiest cars to improve on in terms of outright performance. This model has a third catalytic converter which is located before the turbo (not all exhaust shops are aware of this). As part of any performance upgrade on this model it is highly recommended that this be replaced with a Hi-Flow "Catless Up-pipe", there are still 2 other Catalytic converters in the standard exhaust system! MY03-05 WRXThe first Australian model to receive the AVCS (Active Valve Control System or also known as Variable Valve Timing). The AVCS combined with higher compression ratios make tuning of these models a whole new world, with excellent results achieved through tireless R&D! MY06-07 WRXThe much anticipated 2.5L engine finally arrived in the WRX for the release of the MY06 model, with only 1 kw extra on offer from the dealerships over the previous 2.0L model, most clients were shocked, but a test drive is the only way to appreciate all that extra torque, as you will see in the dyno graphs, the "MRT Power Kits" deliver plenty extra un-tapped power too! DBW (Drive By Wire throttle) is revolutionary for this model too!
