S&J WRX Gearsets
S&J can supply and fit our own brand of WRX gearset impovements. These are
aimed at increasing gear strength and are available in 3 distinct
configurations.
Synchro 1-2
This is the most economical way of strengthening the WRX gearbox. We renew
1st and 2nd gears including the input shaft. The gearbox maintains it's
synchro operation but utilises billet straight cut gears. This also gives
the opportunity to customise ratios (usually lifting 1st then 2nd slightly
to closer ratios). Available with Straight or Helical cut teeth.

Synchro Set
As in Synchro 1-2, the gear box maintains synchro operation but in this case
we are renewing 1st to 4th gears with billet straight cut cogs. We still
retain the original 5th gear for quiet cruising. Again available with
Straight or Helical cut teeth, or a combination of both!

Dog Box
This is the next step for anyone after that unbeatable "Dog Selection" and
extra strength. 2nd gear is now 18mm wide in place of the standard 14mm wide
gear. We also still maintain the standard quiet 5th gear. This application
includes a custom 1st-2nd shift fork and there is no case modification. |

All of the above options are also available in Helical cut gears for
Stealth or even a combination of Helical and straight cut gears. Also available
is the full 5 speed dog gear sets & part or full 6 speed dog gear sets.
